Emma Stone takes on a different role in Will Gluck’s new movie ‘Easy A’

After taking down countless walking dead last year in the successful film Zombieland, Emma Stone takes on a very different role as she stars in Will Gluck’s new movie Easy A. In Easy A, Olive (Emma Stone) agrees to pretend that she lost her virginity to her gay best friend.  She is then asked to do the same by many other guys looking to improve their social standing. This new found popularity gains the attention of Marianne (Amanda Bynes), who begins a string of rumors to bring down Olive’s reputation.  As her life begins to resemble that of Hester Pryne in Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter, she decides to use the rumors to her advantage, placing a red A on her clothing in reference to the hero of the novel.

Patricia Clarkson, who plays Olive’s mom Rosemary in the film, said that “there’s great conflict in this film, but I think what’s refreshing about this is a young girl that really is…remarkable.”  Watch the MakingOf Easy A  featurette below.
