Behind-the-scenes look at Christopher Nolan’s mysterious new film “Inception”

"It's important to me that we go to the absolute limit." – Director Christopher Nolan

On July 16th "Inception" hits theaters after months of speculation about it's plot and intense imagery. MakingOf is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at this summer's highly anticipated release by premiering a featurette that features on-set footage and interviews with helmer Christopher Nolan and actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

In this video, DiCaprio describes working on the film by saying "you're caught in a constant state of suspense" and calls out the lack of green screen use for the big action sequences. Nolan explains this deliberate decision as a way to get believable reactions from the actors. Gordon-Levitt adds, "Inception is about as big as Hollywood movies get. I think a big reason Christopher Nolan is so successful is that he prioritizes the acting. In the midst of the gargantuan technical feats that are going on all over the set, he makes sure to give space to the actors and leave room for them to be able to focus."

"Inception" hits theaters exactly two years after Nolan's last blockbuster "The Dark Knight" ruled the summer. Leave a comment and let us know if you think that "Inception" will live up to the hype and what you think of Nolan's past films such as "Batman Begins" and "Memento".
